Black Lives Matter

On Wednesday, I participated in #ShutDownAcademia and using my time to make some personal efforts to contemplate my role in the systemic oppression of black people in the US. I made some chalkboard signs to display support for the Black Lives Matter movement, and I spent the day listening to podcasts about the reality of racism in our country.
